Simon Montford

Simon is a successful serial entrepreneur with a wealth of start-up experience. In 1994 Simon co-founded icollector plc, the Internet auction service that listed on Ofex in 1996 with a £1m valuation. In the same year he also founded CM Interactive, one of the first web consultancies in the UK, later acquired by New Media Industries. At the time of his departure icollector plc was valued at over £100m and was days away from a listed on the London Stock Exchange. Due to adverse market conditions the listing was abandoned and the company was sold to Able Auctions Inc becoming 'The Icollector Division'. In 2004 The icollector division entered into a strategic alliance with eBay to become their exclusive provider of eBay's Live Auction platform. Icollector.com continues to be an invaluable resource for collectors and the fine art auction industry. 

Simon has been featured in Forbes, Time and numerous financial publications including the 'Sunday Times Top 100' Internet Entrepreneurs list. He also completed a part-time Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) with the Open University School of Business in London. He is an EPIS graduate located within the Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute of the Informatics School.
