Keep it simple stupid - well maybe
Over the years it's became apparent to me that simplicity sells - increasingly customers just want to click once or twice and be given the answer to life the universe and everything (click there for various views on that).
In the software development firm that I'm involved in we learned that simplicity rules a long time ago but a thought crossed my mind the other day - if it's too simple does it make it worth less (as opposed to worthless). Here's the thought that crossed my mind - if you present to an investor a product or solution that is simple to use will they simply assume that the underlying technology is simple as well and therefore worthless (as opposed to worth less). My fear is that in the software world that that could be the case.

So if your inclined to explain things in one syllable you might want to get the thesauras out - just a thought.
