So you are an entrepreneur - define in 10 words!
The realisation that you are an entrepreneur can be one that takes a while to dawn. Personally I avoided the term for a long time - preferring to say things like "I run a software company" or "I like to get new ideas off the ground". But these days with the popularity of Dragons Den people understand the term and don't look puzzled if you use the word - so "Good evening, my name is Alex and I'm an entrepreneur".

I started in business a long time back and it happened because I thought I could do the whole thing so much better than the company I was working for - ahhhh the ignorance of youth, I had no idea what I was embarking on. That seems like a common thing among entrepreneurs. I was at an Edinburgh University Entrepreneur Club event and this definition was used on entrepreneurism from Howard Stevenson of The Harvard Business School. It struck a chord with me....

"the pursuit of opportunity without regard to resources currently controlled"

Yip - thats it!
